Penneys will keep two of its stores open for 24 hours this week to give customers more time to safely do their Christmas shopping.
All other stores will have extended trading hours, with outlets in cities and major shopping centres remaining open until 10pm on weekdays.
Other retailers are expected to follow suit between now and Christmas. But is it a good idea?
