Copper Face Jacks is a revered institution in this lovely little country of ours - a club where you'll have lots of laughs, hear plenty of bangers and are 99.9% guaranteed to pull. And the musical created in its honor is singing off the same hymn sheet.
Paul Howard wrote the love story set on the eve of a Dublin v Kerry All Ireland Final, when a sweet Kerry girl called Noeleen ends up falling for the captain of the Dublin football team - Gino Wildes.
It had a sell-out run last summer and is set to be a smash-hit yet again as extra dates have just been added due to phenomenal demand Coppers: The Musical returns to the Olympia from July 10th - August 10th.
First rule of Musical Club? Every new run of a smash hit show deserves its own new poster complete glowing quotes. So ladies & gentlemen feast your eyes in wonder at this beauty.... pic.twitter.com/Qnm17yxU3Q

The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show was delighted to welcome the visionary that is Mr Howard into studio to tell us why he's so excited about the second run of a show he describes as "West Side Story with carvery".
Paul reveals a lovely gesture from Coppers owner Cathal Jackson who told him, "anybody who arrives at the door of the nightclub with a ticket from the musical will get in for free". Sure it's nearly worth going for that alone!
He's not one for rehearsal either admitting, "wonderful things happen when the writer isn't staring at them (actors)".
The lads also chat about his most famous character Ross O'Carroll-Kelly and the franchise 'it' has become. 18 satirical novels that have sold more than 1 million copies plus the snappy weekly podcast (that Iano is addicted to).
I guess we'll see ye all in Coppers..
