Matthew McConaughey has lived quite a life and it's all documented in his new book Greenlights.
The Oscar winner joined The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show for an exclusive radio chat.
McConaughey spoke about his Irish roots, and his Dad's Irish wake and how U2's Rattle & Hum got him through some tough times, "That album was a good friend of mine, in that year in Australia.
"I was quite lost at times and I needed a friend... and that album was that friend who helped me find that compass and keep my sanity in that year."
