"Inspirational music with real meaning"
Irish superstars Kodaline have kicked off 2020 in style, with a beautifully heartfelt single called 'Wherever You Are'.
Described as "a song about missing loved ones when we are away on tour", the anthemic track has amassed 1.5 million views on YouTube in 6 days, and it's got weddings, TV shows and movies written all over it:
Speaking on The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show, lead singer Steve says jokingly; "it can be quite difficult having a long term relationship, ya know, and I felt, just to soften the blow, I'd write her a song".
The lads perform a spine-tingling acoustic version of their instant hit live in studio, to which Iano's reaction is; "I think that's better than the single" - and they were honoured by the compliment.
Iano also tries to pull some album info from the boys (they're tough cookies), suggests some questionable names for their fans and learns more about this one in a billion encounter whilst giggin in India:
This was our very first experience in your incredible country and it only got better from here

And sure it wouldn't be the same if the lads didn't do a Breakfast Show jingle for us, and I'll admit, I swooned.
'Wherever You Are' is out now with their 4th album in the pipeline for later this year.
