“Hi Ian, Stumbled across this one on my old iPod the other day and it had me in bits laughing. Could you play 'Pope Idol' for your Gift Grub Rewind. Love the show.”
The year was 2005 and the Vatican were looking for Pope John Paul II's replacement. Gift Grub transformed the selection process into a talent competition and there was plenty of white smoke.
