As soon as Mairéad Ronan and her professional dance partner John Nolan were named to lift the Glitterball trophy, we knew the celebrations were going to be lit!
It's not every weekend you win such a prestigious title and when you're the first female celebrity to be crowned queen of the dancefloor, a gal has to let her hair down, right?
The champs popped into Mairéad's former workplace here in Marconi House to have a chat with Iano now that the dust has (nearly) settled. And they were feeling a little worse for wear.
Well that's what two nights in Coppers will do to ya.
Ian laughed, "you know you were targeted by this woman", and Mairéad didn't deny it. She was delighted to be paired with John.
The pro dancer then reveals how even in the first few rehearsals, "I had a feeling she would go all the way". So it was the perfect match.
They also have a laugh about Mrs.Ronan creating her own choreography, John breaking the Kilkenny mould to become a dancer and how nervous they were performing right in front of Leo Varadkar.
There's even talk of Mairéad representing us at the Eurovision.
