We're in for a rhyme of a time

2019 marks the 60th anniversary of The Rose of Tralee International Festival but that's not the only landmark as the 'host with the most' celebrates his 10th year at the helm.

The well-groomed Gaeilgeoir oozes charm, makes the ladies feel very comfortable on stage and is the King of craic - what a decade of Dáithí it has been.

Speaking on The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show, Ó Sé reveals the exclusive news that "we're bringing back one poem".

Poems were banned after 2015's competition as organisers felt they "slowed the momentum of the show" (well 14 Roses did recite poetry as their party pieces that year).

Dáithí's in flying form as always as he chats about his fitness regime in the lead up to it, tells us a bit more about what we can expect from the opening night and squashes any Dancing with the Stars notions, "I'm more like a ram on ice".

Here's to another 10 years a mhac.
