There's a "feckin eejit" in all of us
Whether it's TV, radio or social media, comedian Bernard O'Shea has been making us giggle a lot over the past number of years, and now, he's throwing literature into the mix too.
The Bridget & Eamon actor has a new book out this October called ‘My Wife Is Married To A Feckin Eejit’ - a read we're sure will strike a chord with anyone who has ever been in a long-term (well long-ish) relationship.
He owes his life to his long-suffering wife, Lorna, who has nicknamed him ‘The Feckin’ Eejit’ because of the ongoing crises he puts her and their three small children through almost every day.
It's full of hilarious autobiographical anecdotes like ‘The Great Dishwasher Row of 2009’ and the trials of grocery shopping with children.
O'Shea chats to The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show about his first publication and another first for him - his theatrical acting debut in Little Miss Sunshine, where he plays the role of Grandpa Hoover.
He also reveals how Des Bishop is the inspiration for his Brooklyn accent.
The musical comedy is based on the Academy Award-winning film by Michael Arndt and will run in the Olympia Theatre for 5 nights from August 13th-17th. Irish actress & singer Lucy O’Byrne also stars as 'Sheryl' in the production.
