Looking for something to do on a sunny bank holiday weekend? How about trekking with a heard of Alpacas!
K2Alpacas is a truly unique business, based in Newtownmountkenndy, Co.Wicklow and run by banker/alpaca farmer, Joe Phelan.
After all Joe's kids left home he starting looking for a new hobby to pass his time. With a background in farming he thought about breeding animals but wanted his to be...a little different.
Following lots of research into different types of animals and "alternative farming" Joe decided it had to be the Alpaca!
He now has a herd of over 50 Alpacas, many which have won awards and appeared in numerous Films and TV series.
The business recently went viral after word spread that Joe also takes groups on Alpaca Treks up the Wicklow Mountains at weekends and even treats them to some Prosecco and strawberries.
Sunday Business Show Researcher Niall Fitzmaurice and Producer Ruth Devaney headed down to Wicklow themselves to find out what it was all about and they were very impressed.

Since going viral the Alpeca Trekking has been in serious demand and Joe noted that he is now booked out till October.
