Returning to work following a maternity leave can be a huge challenge for some women.

Whether returning to the same role or finding a different job, neither is easy, especially for someone who has also just become a mother.

To help women overcome these challenge Geraldine Gallagher and her company Inspire Coaching runs Maternity Coaching workshops and one on one sessions.

Geraldine spoke to Conall about the many challenges which a mother returning to work may face.

These included a variety of possible factors, from a loss of confidence to dealing with changes in their life and work environments.

She noted that her business is all about helping women with this transition and finding the a balanced harmony between work and life.

Geraldine's next event "Managing your Career, Motherhood and You" will be taking place at the Maldron Hotel, Newlands Cross on May 31st.
