Never mind the Rose Of Tralee which kicks off this week we are interested in The Nose Of Tralee.
Kate McQuillan from Pet Sitter Ireland is the founder and told Muireann all about it!
In it’s 5th year the competition takes pet entrants from each of the 32 counties to see who will be crowned The Nose Of Tralee on August 21st.
The beauty of this competition is that they don't need to do a party piece although if a contestant cocked a leg and sprayed Daithi's ankle it'd make Irish television history.
The competition is fierce according to Kate and it's not surprisingly as they have a lot to live up to...just look at last year's supercool gorgeous winner Lenny from Dundalk:
Here are some of this year's contestants:

We know Cork has a superiority complex and this 'Queen Of The Repuplic' does nothing to dispel that:
In the past they've had a horse and a pig but the most unusual pets this year are a budgie from Clare and a fine looking cat from Tipp!
One of our favourite things is that some years the contestants even bring their own escorts!
Look and behold the absolute cuteness of the Kerry winner from 2015:
