The last few months have given us the chance to re-think our shopping habits, with many reducing or stopping buying fast fashion altogether. If you are one of these people, then you might be interested in Second Hand September.
Second Hand September is an Oxfam initiative in its second year, and the idea is that you say no to buying new clothes for the month of September and say yes to shopping second-hand.

Alice Dawson Lyons from Oxfam Ireland told Mairead about just a few of the benefits of shopping second hand. Every year a whopping 225,000 tonnes of textile waste is generated in Ireland, and second hand shops give those good quality clothes a new home instead of sending them to a landfill!
