Mairead got an email from an anonymous listener with a question that could be coming up a lot more in the near future. To get 'Gemma' the best advice, Mairead spoke to Dr. Mary O'Kane.
'Gemma' and her husband live in Dublin with their two kids. They spent the first lockdown back in her home in the West of Ireland and she described it as bliss.
Now that both Gemma and her husband can work from home, wherever that might be, they're looking to move the family to the West where they'll have family support, but they're worried about the potential negative impact this might have on their kids.
Mary had some extremely helpful advice for how 'Gemma' should approach the conversation with the kids, and how to focus on the positives of the move - especially as she called their time there 'bliss'.
I am so happy to share my news that my first book ‘Perfectly Imperfect Parenting: Connection not Perfection’ is due to be launched on Thursday 8th April. Pre-orders at: https://t.co/Wh4XZRLSuI pic.twitter.com/J4ET3t2cjh
