We’ve all come to accept that Christmas 2020 will be a very different one than what we’re used to. We usually see three quarters of a million people coming home for Christmas, and that number will be a lot lower this year.
A new initiative that’s all about celebrating being Irish at Christmas and connecting the Irish around the world has just been announced, and Minister Colm Brophy joined Mairead to tell her about what he is asking for from the Irish abroad.
'To Be Irish at Christmas' will go live on the 21st December, and will be full of Irish Christmassy music, art and culture. The people behind it are looking for videos from the Irish around the world about the one thing that connects you to home at Christmas time.
