Each Christmas, the shoebox appeal helps children living in poverty. This year they have had to adapt to Covid, but it’s just as important as ever and 19-year-old student Corrie Byrne from Bray joined Mairead to tell her why.

Corrie first got involved with the shoebox appeal through her primary school who always supported it, and 10 years later she is still helping out Team Hope. She said it's a great way to give to kids around the world who might not get something for Christmas otherwise.

Team Hope have had to go online this year, you can visit their website where you can donate and build your own shoebox.
