Are you looking in to where you can go in Ireland once the 5km restrictions lift? Today the longest greenway in Ireland opened and is perfect for a staycation or a day trip.
Sharon Lavin from Waterways Ireland joined Mairead to tell her about the 130km Royal Canal Greenway and what you can expect from it.
Do you call these counties home: Kildare, Meath, Westmeath and Longford? Did you know Ireland's longest Greenway runs through them all? #RoyalCanalGreenway #IrelandAncientEast #IrelandsHiddenHeartlands @waterwaysirelan @intokildare @LongfordTourism @LoveWestmeath @meathcoco pic.twitter.com/FMoLgRFwXR

The Mayo and Waterford Greenways have been so popular, so this one which stretches from Maynooth all the way to Longford is very welcome.
You can walk or cycle the route which is scenic, safe and flat - no challenging hills or treacherous terrain! Sharon also hopes to see the greenway give an economic boost to the areas it runs through.
