Have you or someone you know always wanted your own hens? Pauline McLynn told Mairead how you can rescue some feathered ladies, and why she knits jumpers for them too!
Pauline is a patron of Little Hill Animal Rescue who rescue 100's of commercial egg-laying hens every year. Many of these hens have lost a good bit of their feathers when they're rescued so Pauline knits jumpers for them to stay warm while their feathers grow back!
Little Hill Animal Rescue will be travelling all around Ireland this weekend with hens that can be adopted - if you're interested you can find their planned stops on their Facebook page.
