The adaptation of Sally Rooney's 'Normal People' is the latest TV series to get everyone hot under the collar, and we can't get enough of it! Today Mairead was joined by Sarah Greene who plays one of the only truly likable characters on the show - Connell's mum Lorraine.
Sarah talked about how Lorraine was her favourite character when she was reading the book, and had very high praise for the casting director Louise Kiely who did such a fantastic job making all the characters come to life and look just as we pictured them.
Sarah also talked about that episode of Liveline - she really loved hearing the call from a dad to a 17 year-old who said the show gave them the opportunity to have a frank and honest conversation about sex, consent, protection and respecting yourself and the other person. Sarah said it's because of conversations like this that the show should be applauded and used in sex ed classes.
