As restrictions continue to ease and different industries get back to some kind of normal operations, people who work in the arts are waiting patiently to get back to doing what they love.
These people will be excited to hear about a new arts in education residency program launched today called BLAST.
Minister for Education Norma Foley joined Mairead on the show to tell her more about the program, who can get involved, and how schools can register to take part.
Artists will receive €1,000 per residency, which will be funded by the Department of Education, and it is open to artists of all disciplines.
BLAST (Bringing Live Art to Students and Teachers) is a new initiative by @NormaFoleyTD1 which will enable up to 400 new Arts-in-Education Residencies in schools each year. Applications open today, June 4th and closes September 30th. https://t.co/RCrsV0QIXX pic.twitter.com/fJXabFs1Kx
