Earlier this week Mairead spoke to Luisa from Louth who set up her own business from home during Covid - another person who has completely changed his life direction during the pandemic is Noel Reilly.
Noel was working as a doctor for 10 years but was experiencing burnout and was looking to take a break and try something new. A trip to Italy lead to a love affair with pasta and gave Noel an idea.
Noel decided to use this new passion and open a restaurant - the opening date was initially supposed to be in April but when Covid hit, he stayed in the hospital where he was much needed. So a few months later than planned, Fasta opened its doors in the vault under Connolly Station and serves up freshly made pasta every day!
