Last week it was announced that all guests and the bridal party at weddings must wear face coverings when not sitting at the table. So if you’re going to have to wear a face mask on your big day, you may as well make it a beautiful one!
A man who is already making bespoke bridal masks is designer Thomas Heverin of Ourania Bridal in Co Mayo.
Thomas wants to help brides complete the looks they have put so much effort in to, and uses materials that are both comfortable to wear and compliment their dress. And not just brides, he also makes masks for the groom, groomsmen and anyone in the bridal party who needs one.
During lockdown, Thomas decided not to dwell on the lack of business and kept busy by designing and making fashionable scrubs for the local healthcare workers. He even put little heart shaped ‘messages of hope’ in the pockets to help put a smile on their faces!
