It's not often we get good news stories these days, so when Mairead saw this video last night she just had to speak to the superhero featured in it!

Francois told Mairead about how he and his girlfriend Ciara were hiking up Lugnaquilla mountain on Saturday and when they were near the top, through the wind, snow and freezing cold, Ciara spotted a dog.
A golden retriever was curled up against a rock, completely petrified, and she had no energy to even stand up or to bark. Francois and Ciara wrapped up the dog in spare clothes they had in their bags to try to warm her up.
It was a big trek back down the mountain and the dog couldn't walk, so Ciara strapped her to Francois' back and he carried her all the way back down.
Thanks to the help of ASH Animal Rescue, they were able to track down the distraught family who had been missing Naoise for two weeks when she ran away chasing a deer and never made it back home.
After two weeks with little or nothing to eat or drink, it's a miracle Naoise was still alive and her owners are so grateful to Francois and Ciara who were in the right place and the right time and brought their beloved dog home to them.
