Since the current restrictions were put in place, any businesses that are still open and operating have had to adapt the way they work to their customers needs. But one Mayo man in Dublin has brought his customer service to another level and he joined Mairead on the show today.
Gus O'Hara is originally from Foxford, Co. Mayo, and he owns Spar on Vernon Avenue in Clontarf in Dublin. He has started using FaceTime for his customers online orders so they can virtually walk around the shop and pick their groceries from the shelves themselves, and then volunteers from local businesses then deliver their shopping to their door.
He has even had people ring from outside of Dublin to have a box of chocolates sent to a relative in the area who is cocooning, or in one case a man called to request an anniversary card be added to his wife's order so they could celebrate their special day!
