You might remember back in early November, Mairead spoke to Anne Cunnane from the Ballyhaunis Chamber of Commerce about how the Mayo town was doing their Christmas lights a little differently this year.
Anne joined Mairead again for an update on how things were going. They were hoping to raise €10,000 through a GoFundMe page to have the lights installed and maintained, and Anne told Mairead that they were currently at €7,500.
Mairead then had the pleasure of telling Anne that we have been working away in the background for the past few weeks, and the good people at McDonnell's Curry Sauce who were inspired by the amazing community spirit have bridged the gap in funds to bring them up to their target and turn on the lights in Ballyhaunis for Christmas!
