Witches are synonymous with Halloween and many of us have dressed up as one, but have you ever met a real life witch? Suzanne caught up with Barbara Lee who cleared up some of the misconceptions and told us what it's really like to be a witch.
Barbara practices Wicca, a modern pagan religion, and is the High Priestess of her coven. And while she does have cats and a few pointy hats to dress up in, she said they aren't actually a requirement for witches!
Barbara often gets asked about curses and love spells but doesn't get involved with them. She would put a love spell in the same category as curse because it interferes with somebody else's true will. She also said that you would never know if that person is truly attracted to you or if it is just because of the spell.
Halloween will be a quieter affair this year for Barbara, she won't get to spend Samhain with her coven but she will light candles at her ancestor altar and make offerings. If you would like to celebrate, it is said that you should open your front and back doors at midnight on Halloween to let spirits pass through.
