He's one of Ireland's best-loved comedians and is known as G-Rod when he's at the Edinburgh Fringe each year, Gearoid Farrelly joined Mairead in studio today for a brilliant Tell Me Something I Don't Know!
Just before Christmas, Gearoid was recovering from a tummy bug and had treated himself to a pizza. On his way home, he ended up helping a neighbour whose foster kitten had gotten out and trapped in a space between the two apartment buildings.
After a couple of hours in the rain and mud trying to catch the kitten, Gearoid took his (now cold) pizza back to the apartment and dumped all his clothes in the wash, and replied to a message in his family whatsapp group asking how he recovering.
He told the kitten story and sent a photo of the pizza, but it took a while to realise that the because the pizza was in front of the microwave, there was a reflection of... himself!
