You may remember a few weeks ago, Mairead spoke to Dr. David McKeown about a project he was involved in for RTÉ's 'Big Life Fix'. The show challenges a group of leading designers, engineers, computer programmers and technology experts to create inventions that will transform people's lives.
Today Mairead spoke to Rosie McCormack, who is featured in tonight's episode and was also helped by David's skills and expertise.
Rosie was diagnosed with MS 4 years ago when she was just 25 years old. She was hugely active and also loved art and painting, but as her MS and the pain it caused her progressed, she lost the ability to do both of these.
The team at Big Life Fix connected Rosie with David and Trevor Vaugh who got to work on designing something that would allow Rosie to keep painting and, spoiler alert, there was a very happy ending!
