You might remember last year Mairead spoke to Katie and Luke of The Ungraceful Guide who had spent the last 3 years travelling the world, and had just moved home to have their first baby.
Baby Cora was born in November, and Katie was back on with Mairead to tell her how they've managed to extend their shoe-string travel budgeting to their baby!
Last week Mairead had read that 45% of Irish first time parents spend between 5 and 10 thousand euro in their baby's first year, so Katie was happy to share her tips and tricks on how to have a baby on a budget.
They managed to find a lot of the gear needed on freecycle websites or borrowed them from friends and family. Katie pointed out that everything was immaculate because we take such good care of baby items.
Between that and investing in reusable and washable items, they've only spent about €500 on Cora in the 5 months since she was born.

The plan is for Katie, Luke to get back on the road by the summer with the baby once she's had all her vaccinations and check ups. They'll definitely have good craic while trying to figure it out!
