Plenty of us have an interest or a hobby that we love just a bit more than other people, and one of those people is Clare Rooney in Kells who really loves gardening, and growing flowers and veg.
Clare got started in 2010 when her now husband was doing a course which had him away most nights, so Clare was looking for something to do on her own. She rented an allotment and started growing fruit and veg.
Despite having absolutely no experience, Clare kept at it and her work has really paid off. She told Mairead that one of the biggest set backs is having unrealistic expectations, and that you'll learn so much more from a failure than if something works the first time.

Flash forward to now and Clare has not only grown the flowers for her own wedding, but she has ended up with so much extra produce that she's decided to start a farm in her back garden!
At the moment, she has an honesty stand in front of her house but down the line she plans to sell at farmer's markets and start doing this full time.
