Evanne Ní Chuilinn wants to tell the stories of the 60,000 people "who just want to feel like they belong".
A new documentary presented by Evanne Ní Chuilinn takes a look at the Irish adoption process. 'Uchtú' will be on TG4 at 9:30 this evening, and Evanne stopped by to talk to Mairead about her own experiences as an adoptee.
Evanne is one of the lucky ones who was adopted by a wonderful family who sent regular updates to her birth mother, but not every adoptee was so fortunate as she found out from some of the people she met while making the documentary.
Evanne learned that the main issue is the legislation around adoption, and that's what needs to change so the people who have been adopted can find out where they came from.
