What do you do if you hate going to the hairdressers? You let your hair grow, of course! 12 year old Connor from Buncrana has done just that and now he's taking it one step further. Connor's mum Aileen joined Mairead to tell her what he has planned.
Connor stopped getting his haircut in July 2019 and now his hair is halfway down his back. It's also very well looked after, gorgeous hair so he suggested cutting and donating his hair to a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients.
Connor's granny suggested raising money for charity as well, so he picked the Irish Kidney Association which is very close to their family.
In 2015, Connor's grandad Seamus was told he would need a kidney transplant, and in 2017 Aileen donated one of hers. She said it was a big decision but a much easier one than the alternative.
Thankfully Seamus and Aileen are both doing really well now, and they're happy to give back to the organisation that gave them such fantastic support when they needed it most.
If you'd like to donate to Connor's fundraiser, it can be found here.
