The former Strictly Come Dancing pro chatted to Mairead about the intimacy needed on the show and how "there's no ball room in ballroom".
Brendan Cole was one of the original professionals when Strictly Come Dancing began, and he said that if you're not feeling that kind of intimacy with your partner, you need to fake it if you want to last on the show.
He was known for answering back to the judges during his time on Strictly, and today he told Mairead that he would always defend his dance partner from unfair criticism because being a teacher meant supporting them mentally as well as physically.
'Brendan Cole: Show Man' comes to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on the 7th and 8th of March.
