Dermot and Dave get all the goss from the boys
Ahh lads...what are Westlife doing to us? We were just about getting over their Wembley Stadium bombshell (they play there on August 22nd, 2020) then they go and finish us off with the news they are playing Cork's Páirc Uí Chaoimh the following Friday, August 28th.
Today FM's Dermot and Dave broadcasted live from the rebel venue in the company of the super excited band members Cian, Mark, Nicky and Shane.
After a quick analysis of their quiffs, the Flying Without Wings singers chatted about how the whole thing came about, with Cian saying, "when we sat down with Denis from MCD, we asked "What can we do next?"".
They're still feeling the buzz of their sell-out Croke Park gigs in July and wanted to emulate that again on Irish soil in 2020, and what better place to do it!?
When asked about their upcoming album Spectrum (out November 15th this year), Shane says, "it's very uptempo...it's quite in the 'Hello My Love' Vein". A sound we cannot wait to hear in a new capacities.
Filan then chats about their next single My Blood, which he describes as "really important to us" and "emotional" as it's about the relationship between them and their families.

Mark chats about being an apprehensive dad but feels he's more than ready for the challenge when his daughter comes along. He also admits that him and the Westlife lads are still the messers they were 20 years ago.
Whilst talking about their incredible comeback, the lads couldn't not mention another singer doing ok for himself, Mr Ed Sheeran. Cian has a class story about how much of a Westlife fan Sheeran is and doesn't hide their gratitude for his involvement.
Tickets for their first-ever Páirc Uí Chaoimh show go on sale this Friday (September 20th) @9am, starting at €59.50.
