In December 1996, the death of Sophie Toscan du Plantier shook the residents of West Cork. Just two days before Christmas, her body was found near her holiday home in Schull, the circumstances around her death remain unsolved.
In 2018, Sophie's story was brought to public attention again in the podcast 'West Cork'. The 13 episode series revisited the case and became hugely popular both in Ireland and internationally.
A lot has happened in the three years since West Cork concluded and producers Sam Bungey and Jennifer Forde have confirmed that a new episode is on the way.
Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Jennifer and Sam revealed what the new episode will include and why they've decided to release it now.
