A recent survey has found that there are nearly 40,000 ‘Zombie’ cars on Irish roads, that’s over €300 million worth.
The cars often look fine but could be hiding a dangerous history beneath the bonnet. As the price of second hand cars increase, people could be paying above the odds for a car that could cause an awful lot of hassle down the line.
Car history company MotorCheck have done a huge amount of work across the border and in the UK to trace down how many ‘zombie cars’ are in Ireland.
Shane Teskey from MotorCheck joined Dermot and Dave to explain what makes a zombie car, the dangers of them and how to make sure that you’re driving the safest possible car.
