So, with that in mind for Ask Me Anything this week Dermot & Dave spoke to someone who lives on a houseboat and it turns out to be a fascinating way of life.
Today FM's Claire Beck discussed all aspects of living on the waterways of Ireland, including how she empties the toilet. Turns out, it isn't as gross as you might think. Every so often, Claire will take her boat to a service area and connect the tank to a hole that will suck all the 'residue' out.
