The tough time for tech employees continues as Facebook confirmed they are to cut 13% of their global workforce.

Around 11,000 of the 87,000 staff employed by parent company 'Meta' will be let go as the company tightens its belt.

With around 3000 staff and 6000 contractors in Ireland, there's likely to be job losses here as well as in Meta's other locations.

Jess Kelly from Tech Talk on Newstalk joined Dermot and Dave to explain what this will mean for Irish staff, and why Meta have come to this decision.
