Ah the Irish summer - nothing like it; a balmy 13 degrees, gorgeous grey skies and rain...lots of rain.
This week looks like it's another one for the ducks, so Maria's Telly is here to help make the cabin fever more bearable.
First up is Love Island, which returned for its fifth series on Monday night.
We were introduced to the first twelve "bevs" (that's still not a word Lucie) and treated to the first of many twists:
Someone's been practicing their best 'I got a text' in the mirror... 😉 #LoveIsland pic.twitter.com/emlqSEReiM

Ohh how we love when they get a text! Muggy af.
Catch Love Island weekdays and Sunday @9pm on Virgin Media Two or ITV2. 8 weeks to go *eek
Sticking with the fly-on-the-wall stuff, First Dates is on Channel 4 @10pm tonight and features an interesting mix of daters. There's a lady who sweats a lot, a fella who fears women are put off by his Beckham-esque voice and an 80-year-old glam great-granny:
Will there be love 💕 in the #FirstDates restaurant? We’re back tomorrow night at 10pm only on #Channel4 😍 pic.twitter.com/D2xzJ3gPOm

Heard of Chernobyl on Sky Atlantic? It's based on the untold true story of the 1986 nuclear disaster that rocked the world. Well the final episode of the miniseries airs @9pm tonight and you need to catch up because it has been voted the top-rated TV show on IMDB. It's class!
Have a look at what all the hype is over:
And speaking of amazing series, Maria urged us to watch Good Girls on Netflix. Friends Ruby, Beth and Annie decide to take control of their unstable lives by robbing a bank. Sure that always turns out great:
Seasons 1 & 2 now on Netflix - so stick'em up (your legs on the couch that is).
