In May this year, Eva Forman was given the news no parent wants to hear. Her daughter, Nora, has a rare and terminal brain tumour.
Faced with the heartbreaking decision not to progress with treatment that was no longer working and only making Nora sick, the family have instead focused on creating memories with their beloved little girl.
From music classes to rainbow days, Nora and her family have been helped and supported all the way by three charities Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, Children's Health Foundation Crumlin and Laura Lynn.
Eva has created a special fundraising event for the three charities as a gesture of thanks for their support and help.
Dipper for the Nippers asks people to hop in the sea (if it's within your 5km) and donate whatever you can to their GoFundMe page, as well as sharing a photo of yourself as proof that you braved the elements.
After initially setting a target of €900, the campaign has now raised nearly €100k and at the end of November, the money raised will be given to the three charities for them to help other families.
Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Eva shared the importance of these charities and the difference they have made to her life at such a difficult time.
