There have been many key issues debated in the run up to the forthcoming election.

The economy, health, social welfare, but nobody has mention 'Rideyness'

Surely with our eyes being bombarded with posters on every pole up and down the country it's time we discussed the major issue.

With the help of irishelectionrides.tumblr.com and suggestions from you guys, we attempt to answer the most important election question:

Who is the ridiest election candidate?

Tim Jackson an Independent in Donegal kicks us off (above) We got lost in his pearly blues. Swoon!

Niamh Kennedy - Independent (Donegal) Could easily be a fifth Corr.

TJ Clare - Independent (Dublin West) His Gareth Gates good looks gets our vote!

Jennifer Cuffe - (Wicklow) She caught the eye of our Wicklow texters.

Fergal Smith Independent (Clare) Ferg is a surfer we'd give him a wave...swoon!

Kate O' Connell Fine Gael (Dublin South East)

John Foley - Independent (Offaly) This salt and pepper bearded God was Dave's first choice.

Cian O’Callaghan - Social Democrats - (Dublin Bay North)

Lots of you in Kerry voted in our Ridiness poll for Toireasa

John Lyons - Labour(Dublin NW) Johnlander has Blue Steel nailed. We think he's really, really, really good looking.

Neil on Twitter suggested Niamh in Clare who gets the activist punk girl vote. She also helps fill the void of hot redheads in Irish politics.

But without doubt our winner is this man. Another of Offaly's finest exports:
