After Shane Lowry won The Open Championship at Royal Portrush videos of him celebrating with the Claret Jug at a Dublin pub went viral around the world.
Speaking to Dermot & Dave this week, the Clara man revealed more details about the session that took place when he was crowned Champion Golfer.
Shane told the lads how he had planned on spending three days on the lash in the gear he was wearing when he won the competition, and even convinced one his mate Brian to do the same. However, after just one night out in Dublin Lowry was forced to concede that he couldn't show up to his homecoming in Offaly in his wet gear.
Speaking from his home in Florida, The Major winner also told Dermot & Dave that he has "never missed" playing golf as mush, revealing he hasn't played since all golf courses in America were closes due to Covid-19 restrictions.
