He roasts the British PM
Comedian Russell Howard kicks off the Irish leg of his biggest stand-up global tour to date, Respite, in Dublin this weekend with 5 Vicar Street shows.
Seeing as the cheeky chappie was in town, Today FM's Dermot and Dave caught up with the TV star to chat about the tour and ask how his legend of a mum Ninette is keeping.
When asked why he chose to film his travelogue series Russell Howard & Mum with his mother instead of his dad, his answer was pretty straightforward, "If I did the TV show with dad it would have been just two blokes who look exactly the same in a car not talking".
Whilst talking about his method of writing for comedy, Boris Johnson's name gets mentioned and Howard has the perfect analogy for the UK's chief Brexiteer,
I'm baffled that we have a man who's part alpaca, part thesaurus, in charge of a monumental moment in British politics
The 39-year-old also has a great story about his little nephew who doesn't give a damn about global warming - especially pandas.
Tickets for Russell's shows in Vicar Street this weekend are sold out but there are still some remaining for Monday (9th) & Tuesday (10th) evening - so get them while you can (click here).
