Let's get behind the HB Fundays campaign
For 2019, Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI) and HB Hazelbrook Farm hope to raise over €300,000 via their HB Fundays campaign.
The money will help improve two of the DSI programmes:
See and Learn - which promotes speech and language development and aids communication in children with Down syndrome
&
Parent-Link - a support service provided by parent volunteers for new parents of babies with Down syndrome.
At the first HB Fundays party of the year today.
Speaking on Dermot and Dave, Rachel Allen, who has joined the campaign, says;
it's a really easy and really fun way to fundraise
To create your own HB Fundays event, simply register on downsyndrome.ie Once registered, HB will send you out vouchers for blocks of ice-cream and all you have to do is charge people a few euro for their treats on the day.
The best-selling author and chef also reveals how;
over €3 million has been raised in this campaign up to now
So let's get the summer off to a good start with some ice-cream and fun for a great cause. Sure who doesn't love an aul wafer sambo??
