There's a horrific new 'trend' on Irish streets which involves people stealing ducklings from their mother and selling them to children on the street for as little as €5.
The DSPCA have taken in 25 ducklings in just 24 hours which has led them to issuing a plea to people to not purchase them.
Speaking on Dermot and Dave, Gillian Bird from the DSPCA explained how they believe some of the ducklings are being taken from the water and sold to teenagers.
She also explained the dangers of adopting a duckling as a pet and offered advice on what to do if you do find yourself caring for one.
