The 18-year-old was left shaking!

A couple of weeks back, Dermot & Dave teamed up with Kodaline to give one lucky artist/band the prize of a lifetime - an opening slot with Kodaline at their summer concert in St. Anne's Park on Saturday June 1st, where they would play in front of 15,000 people.

But that's not all, the winner would also receive €5,ooo worth of studio time with Philip Magee to record their music. We don't do things by half you see!

After hundreds of entries (that were out of this world btw) it was narrowed down to a shortlist of 5 but Kodaline, Philip Magee and Today FM were all on the same note in deciding Offaly singer/songwriter Luz Corrigan was 'The One'.

Speaking on Dermot and Dave, a shocked LUZ (as she goes by) said "I've been sitting in my bed the last hour shaking". She was blown away!

The lads are all in awe of her originality and amazing songwriting skills.

Have a listen to the winning entry 'We'll Be Fine' below:

Gerald Ahern - 18-year-old artist from Cork City who has an impressive band behind him. Here they are with 'Run':

ELKIN - Female pop duo from Co. Meath. 'Green Eyes' will have you groovin':

Kodaline have announced James Morrison as special guest for their two summer concerts in St. Anne’s Park on May 31st and june 1st 2019.

Rising Irish artists FLYNN and ROE also join the line-up on Friday with Somebody's Child just added to Saturday's line-up.
