With clients including WWE diva Scarlett Bordeaux as well as performers like Bendy Kate, Sarah Scott, Kira Noire, Kildare woman Fionnuala Bourke is used to her costumes appearing on stages across the world.
But due to the recent pandemic, Fionnuala has moved from designing costumes to designing face masks alongside her father, a fire engineer, and a team of sewers.
This morning she spoke to Dermot and Dave about how they've made roughly 1000 masks in four different washable styles. All of the non-medical masks are currently being donated all over the country by a team of volunteers and Fionnuala has raised over €2000 through her GoFundMe page.
Fionnuala filmed a sewing tutorial on her Instagram page and has a pattern that’s available to download free of charge to anyone who wants to sew their own masks.
