When Stephanie was 18, she found herself out of the care system and looking after herself as an adult, but it's only now at the age of 26 that she really feels independent.
At the age of 19, Stephanie's rental accommodation was no longer available, and she found herself unable to secure an alternative. She spent several months in and out of homeless hostels, being robbed or encountering drug use.
With the help of Focus Ireland, Stephanie has secured somewhere to come home to, where she can cook, clean and sleep soundly knowing that she is safe.
Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Stephanie explained the importance of having somewhere to call 'home', and why she believes emergency accommodation urgently needs to be looked at.
On Friday March 11th, TodayFM and Focus Ireland will be tuning our guitars, and doing our vocal warm-ups for 'The Big Busk', there'll be over 100 events taking part across the country.
