It seems like a million years ago since the nation held it's breath and watched the Irish Women's Hockey Team qualifying for the 2020 Olympics in a sudden death shoot-out against Canada.
One of the most instrumental people in that victory was Roisin Upton, who unbeknownst to everyone (herself included) managed to get Ireland to Tokyo while also struggling with a broken arm.
Roisin had a little bit more time to recover than she would have liked, however, as the 2020 Olympics became the 2021 Olympics but she is using her time to raise some much needed funds for GOAL's Jersey Day.
GOAL are asking people to don their favourite jersey, hop on those Zoom calls and donate to help those who need it more than ever.
Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Roisin looked back on her pre-Covid trip to Malawi where she saw GOAL's work in action.
GOAL Jersey Day is Friday October 9th, all the information about how you can get involved is on their website.
