Imagine having to pack up and leave your entire life only to find yourself living in a tent, in a camp, with little access to basic human needs and surrounded by thousands of others in the same situation as you.
That is the reality for the thousands of people on the Greek island of Lesbos.
Irish doctor Claire Dunne works with MSF (Doctors without Borders) and she has seen the realities of life on the ground in these camps.
Claire, who saw the immediate aftermath of the massive fire in the Moria Camp last September, told Dermot and Dave that things have not improved since the fire and Covid has continued to cause problems for those living there.
The Irish GP also explained the incredible mental strain that living in the camp has on the children and adults from self-harm to nightmares.
Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Dr Dunne called on the Irish Government to extend our infamous céad míle fáilte to those in the camps and why she's backing the 400 Welcomes campaign.
