A few weeks back, we received this text from an anonymous listener:
My father is receiving cancer treatment and along with a myriad of other health issues is really struggling. As an only child I am all he has (my mother passed away a few years ago) and as a result he "offloads" going around and around in circles about wanting to die. I am finding it very difficult and would love advice on how to cope and help him cope with what's happening. Many thanks
For this weeks Mind Yourself Now with Dermot and Dave, Fiona Brennan from The Positive Habit explained the realities of compassion fatigue and how those who are looking after someone in their lives could avoid it while still being there for their loved one.
